Review: City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare

YOU ARE BEING WARNED. THIS POST CONTAINS SOME SPOILERS. IF YOU WANT TO READ SOME (A GOOD NUMBER) SPOILERS THEN CONTINUE.

City of Fallen Angels takes place two months after the events of City of Glass. In it, a mysterious someone’s killing the Shadowhunters who used to be in Valentine’s Circle and displaying their bodies around New York City in a manner designed to provoke hostility between Downworlders and Shadowhunters, leaving tensions running high in the city and disrupting Clary’s plan to lead as normal a life as she can — training to be a Shadowhunter, and pursuing her relationship with Jace. As Jace and Clary delve into the issue of the murdered Shadowhunters, they discover a mystery that has deeply personal consequences for them — consequences that may strengthen their relationship, or rip it apart forever.

Meanwhile, internecine warfare among vampires is tearing the Downworld community apart, and only Simon — the Daylighter who everyone wants on their side — can decide the outcome; too bad he wants nothing to do with Downworld politics. Love, blood, betrayal and revenge: the stakes are higher than ever in City of Fallen Angels.

A sequel to City of Glass. Fast paced, Action packed. Hot make out scenes between Jace and Clary. Clary doing some training, then being seduced by Jace. Simon has his own problems, between being attacked and juggling Izzy and Maia. Then being approached by an ancient vampire, his first feeding on a human. More making out between Jace and Clary. Jace having nightmares and avoiding Clary. Clary's mom gets married. So you see a lot is going on. Lost yet? I haven't even told you about Magnus and Alec. Or the shadowhunters turning up dead. Oh Wait nevermind.

I really loved this book. Simon is awesome. He is starting to learn to accept his vampireness. And his is realizing his fate and start facing the future. GO READ THIS BOOK NOW!!!!

I promise I only read the last paragraph of your review since I haven't read The Mortal Instruments series yet. A friend was raving about The Mortal Instruments and this new book to me the other night, and so I'm definitely going to be reading this soon.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it :)
